All-on-4® Implants

All-on-4® dental implants offer a fixed, full-arch tooth replacement option for people who are missing most or all of their teeth or have teeth that can no longer be predictably restored. Instead of replacing each missing tooth with an individual implant, the All-on-4® treatment concept uses four strategically positioned dental implants to support a full arch of replacement teeth.

What Are All-on-4® Dental Implants?

The All-on-4® treatment concept uses four dental implants placed within the upper or lower jaw. Typically, two implants are positioned toward the front of the arch and two posterior implants are placed at an angle to maximize available bone and help avoid certain anatomical structures.

When appropriate implant stability and other clinical requirements are met, a fixed provisional set of teeth may be attached on the day of implant placement. After the implants heal and integrate with the jawbone, the provisional restoration is replaced with the final prosthesis.

Who May Be a Candidate for All-on-4® Implants?

All-on-4® implants may be considered for adults who have extensive tooth loss, severely compromised teeth, or difficulty wearing traditional dentures.

Potential candidates may include people who:

• Are missing all or most teeth in one or both dental arches

• Have multiple failing or non-restorable teeth

• Currently wear removable dentures and want a fixed alternative

• Have sufficient jawbone to support strategically positioned implants

• Are in appropriate general and oral health for implant surgery

• Are committed to good oral hygiene and ongoing dental care
